In a proactive effort to enhance disaster preparedness and response, the J.H. Cerilles State College Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), under the leadership of Director Mr. Jerry R. Redoblado, conducted an earthquake drill at the JHCSC Main Campus, involving students, faculty, and staff. This initiative was part of the college’s participation in the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill held on March 25, 2024.
Adding significance to the event, President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales visited J.H. Cerilles State College Dumingag Campus, which hosted the inaugural regional ceremonial site for the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. The event gathered proficient personnel, including the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Task Force units, Rural Health Units (RHU), and traffic enforcers.
The successful participation of JHCSC in the national earthquake drill underscores the institution’s unwavering commitment to promoting preparedness and safety, setting a precedent for proactive disaster management within the college and beyond.
