JHCSC DRMO organized a Fire Prevention Drill for Safety Awareness.

To commemorate 2024 Fire Prevention Month, the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO), spearheaded by Director Mr. Jerry R. Redoblado, organized a fire prevention drill under the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-Lisa” on March 22, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium.
The event aimed to raise awareness about fire safety practices, and the JHCSC-DRRMO Team and student respondents actively participated. The Fire Officers guests from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Lapuyan were F04 Jimmy B. Elis, FO3 Rodel B. Etable, SFO2 Junidel M Rodriguez, and FO2 Bebie Gay M Lauron.
Dr. Joel M. Sabellano, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and proactive measures in mitigating fire risks. College Registrar Mr. Dante Bayocot provided insights into the rationale behind the drill, stressing the significance of community engagement and education in preventing fire incidents.
F04 Jimmy B. Elis delivered a fire prevention lecture. Following this, F03 Rodel B. Etable facilitated a hands-on activity, teaching participants the proper use of fire extinguishers and equipping them with practical skills to handle small fires efficiently.
The drill highlights JHCSC’s commitment to promoting a fire-resilient community. Through such initiatives, the institution aims to instill a culture of safety and preparedness, ensuring a safer environment for all.
