On September 13, 2023, a momentous event unfolded as participants from the province of Zamboanga Del Sur, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of San Miguel under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Ex D. Ocapan, and with support from the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority through PhilFIDA-Research Unit Head, Sir Felix Nepomoceno, joined hands with the JHCSC-School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies, under the guidance of VPRERG, Dr. Jerry B. Superales.
This gathering was not just about knowledge sharing; it was a hands-on experience. Faculty, staff, and students of SAFES (BSA, BSF, and BSES), along with different stakeholders from across the 2nd District of Zamboanga Del Sur, planted abaca seedlings, symbolizing their commitment to sustainable agricultural practices.
Together, they sowed the seeds of a greener, more sustainable future!
