Bearing with this year’s theme “Gearing Up Philippine SUC’s for Industry 4.0 through Innovations and Sustainable Partnerships”.
Five officials of J.H. Cerilles State College, led by President Mary Jocelyn V. Battung attended the 2019 Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) General Assembly last July 16-19, 2019 at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Along with Pres. Battung who represented the school in the said event were Dr. Lina T. Codilla (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Vilma C. Grengia( Vice President for Research and Extension), Dr. Servillana Del Mundo (Academic Program Coordinator) and Ms. Venus Avenido( FASA President).
The annual assembly was headed by PASUC President Dr. Tirso Ronquillo. Former CHED Commissioner Ruperto S. Sangalang was also present who delivered the message of Senator Pia Cayetano.
Some of the dignitaries who graced the event were CHED Chairperson Dr. Prospero J. De Vera, DOST Secretary Fortunato dela Peña with USec. Rowena Christine L. Guevarra which presented the “Science for Change Program”.
The three-day annual convention focuses on revolutionizing Innovation, Knowledge Creation, Partnership and Collaboration, and Advocacy Development to empower SUC’s in the new stage of Industrial Revolution and Internationalization.
The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) is an association of public tertiary school level institutions in the Philippines. These comprise all 112 State Universities and Colleges (SUC) which are under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). PASUC holds its sports, literary, and musical competition annually participated by its members.
