J.H. Cerilles State Colleges Main campus faculty from the School of Teacher Education shines for the second time in the recently concluded Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines –Tertiary Level Inc.( MTAP-TL) Annual Convention on July 24-26, 2019 held at Citystate Tower Hotel, Mabini St., Ermita, Manila.
With top caliber professors from state universities and colleges all over the country, Prof. Raymund A. Indangan the only Ph.D. in Mathematics in Zamboanga del Sur rose above them and bagged the Best Paper Presentation award and bringing the beacon with his research output titled Hyper GR-Ideals and Quasi- Hyper GR-Ideals of Hyper GR- algebras that was published in the Journal of Applied Algebra and Mathematics (JAAM) Volume 15(2019).
He was also bestowed the same accolade in the said annual convention with his previous winning published research paper titled Some Hyper homomorphic properties of Hyper GR-algebras( JAAM Volume 15 (2017)) at Saint Louis University, Baguio City on July, 30, 2015.
In 2016, Dr. Indangan also published his research paper in the same journal titled Some Results on Hyper GR-ideals of a Hyper Gr-algebras (JAAM Volume 14(2016)).
While in in 2015, he also published his paper titled Induced Cycle Decomposition of Graphs on the journal of Applied Mathematical Sciences Hikari Ltd. Volume 9(2015).
Aside from this, all of his published papers had passed the stiff scrutiny of Scopus Preview which is the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, including scientific journals, books and conference proceedings, covering research topics across all scientific and technical disciplines, ranging from medicine and social sciences to arts and humanities.
Dr. Indangan earned both his Master and Doctorate degrees at Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology majoring in Graph Theory and with field of specialization in Algebra in 2007 and 2017 respectively under the CHED –Faculty Development Scholarship Program.
Presently, Dr. Indangan is the Board Secretary designate of JHCSC’s Board of Trustees (BOT) aside from teaching mathematics with the faculty rank of Associate Professor-III.
“Don’t run away with your fears. Empower yourself to overcome obstacles so you can reach your dreams”, says Dr. Indangan emphasizing that we should set goals for ourselves and work towards them. But stay open to possibilities and embrace change. Work towards your goal for you to succeed,Dr. Indangan told.
Bearing the theme “Modern World: Perspective Beyond Borders”, Dr. Aileen A. Diansuy the MTAP-TL Inc. President and Dr. Maria Isabel T. Lucas the Co-Chair of the organizing committee lead the said annual convention of Philippine Mathematicians.
