JHCSC’s Delegation bags medals at MASTS Friendship Games 2022

With a total of 279 student-athletes ( 98 Socio-Cultural and 181 athletic participants) from the J.H. Cerilles State College, one of the biggest delegations successfully competed in the 25 Sports and Socio-cultural Events for the Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) Games 2022 last November 5 to November 13, 2022, at the Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) campus, Mati City, Davao Oriental.

Around 10, 000 student participants, coaches, officials, and visitors from 32 state universities and colleges from six regions in Mindanao took part in the MASTS weeklong Games.

From twenty-five (25) sports disciplines and socio-cultural competitions, JHCSC delegation garnered an overall score of sixty-six (66) points in Athletics and nine (9) points in Socio-cultural events bagging one (1) Gold, six (6) Silvers, four (4) Bronzes, two (2) 4th Runner-ups, five (5) 5th Runner-ups and two (2) 7th Runner-ups to include seven (7) Qualifiers for the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) National Games.

The JHCSC MASTS Delegation was led by President Dr. Mary Jocelyn Villejo Battung and OIC- Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Dr. Joel M. Sabellano Jr. with the College Sports Director Ms. Mary Joan C. Eta along with 26 coaches and 10 officials.

The Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) was the host SUC of MASTS Games 2022 in partnership with the Officials of Mati city and Davao Oriental province.
