The School of Teacher Education (STE) of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC)–Pagadian Campus celebrated the achievements of its graduating class and paid tribute to the unwavering support of their families during the Batch 2026 Tribute to Parents and Recognition Rites held on June 8, 2026, at Chandler Suites, Pagadian City. Anchored in the theme “Per Aspera Ad Excellentiam: A Journey of Perseverance, Sacrifice, and the Pursuit of Greatness,” the event served as both a recognition of academic accomplishments and a heartfelt tribute to the parents and guardians who played a vital role in students’ educational journeys. The program formally commenced with a processional march of graduating students, Latin honor awardees, parents, faculty members, and college officials.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Sarah Jean B. Bayocot, BSED Program Chair of JHCSC Pagadian Campus, extended her congratulations to the graduating class, emphasizing the significance of the occasion as a culmination of years of dedication, resilience, and hard work. Dr. Joean B. Palahang, Dean of the School of Teacher Education, followed with an inspirational message highlighting the sacrifices made by parents and students’ perseverance in overcoming academic challenges to reach this important milestone.
Representing the graduating class, Rayver Milliomeda, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, delivered words of gratitude, expressing appreciation to the institution, faculty, and families whose guidance and support contributed to the graduating class’s success.
Adding a meaningful perspective to the program, parent representative Novelita A. Macellones shared a testimonial reflecting on the challenges and rewards of supporting a child through higher education. Her message underscored the shared journey of parents and students, as well as the collective efforts that led to the graduates’ accomplishments.
A highlight of the event was the tribute segment, during which the graduating students expressed their heartfelt appreciation to their parents and guardians. The activity provided graduates with an opportunity to acknowledge the love, sacrifices, and encouragement that sustained them throughout their academic journey, creating a meaningful and emotional moment for both students and their families.
The program culminated in the recognition rites, during which Dr. Bayocot presented special awards, certificates, and medals to deserving students for their academic excellence and achievements. The celebration concluded with the singing of the JHCSC Hymn, marking the end of a memorable occasion that honored the perseverance, sacrifices, and successes of both the graduates and their families.
