The School of Computing Studies (SOCS) of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), under the leadership of Dean Elsie S. Ybañez, honored parents and recognized graduating students during its Padayaw to Parents and Recognition Program held on June 8, 2026, at the Gift Pavilion along Rizal Avenue, Pagadian City. The event brought together SOCS faculty members, staff, parents, and graduating students in a meaningful celebration of gratitude, achievement, and shared success as the students neared the completion of their academic journey.
A highlight of the program was the tribute segment, in which graduating students expressed their heartfelt appreciation to their parents and mentors for their unwavering support, sacrifices, and guidance throughout their college years. Through musical performances and token presentations, the graduates paid homage to the individuals who played significant roles in helping them overcome challenges and pursue their academic goals.
Adding inspiration to the occasion, SOCS alumnus Mr. Christial Paul Vailoces served as the guest speaker. In his message, he emphasized the importance of being prepared for life after graduation, encouraging the students to face future challenges with confidence, adaptability, and determination. He reminded the graduates that earning a degree is only the beginning of a new journey and urged them to continuously develop their skills, embrace growth opportunities, and remain committed to excellence as they enter their respective careers.
The program also recognized the academic accomplishments and milestones of the graduating students, highlighting their dedication and perseverance throughout their studies. The event concluded in an atmosphere of gratitude, pride, and optimism, as graduates, parents, and faculty members celebrated the achievements earned through years of hard work and looked forward to the opportunities ahead.
