𝐉𝐇𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐂𝐌𝐒𝐄 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Canuto M.S. Enerio (CMSE) Campus of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) celebrated its 27th Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2026, conferring degrees to 𝟏𝟐𝟗 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 during ceremonies held at the Municipal Gymnasium in Poblacion, Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur. Guided by the theme, “JHCSC Future-Ready Graduates as Drivers in Advancing A.C.H.I.E.V.E. for Global Excellence,” the event gathered members of the JHCSC Board of Trustees, college officials, deans, program chairs, faculty, staff, graduates, and proud parents in honoring the academic achievements of the graduating class.

JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales formally conferred the degrees upon the graduates from the following academic programs after their endorsement by their respective deans:

Highlighting the ceremony was the commencement address delivered by Dr. Joseph Lou C. Sta. Teresa, Chief Education Program Specialist of CHED Region IX, shared his personal journey from aspiring to become a medical doctor to becoming a doctor of education. Drawing inspiration from his experiences, he encouraged the graduates to pursue lives of service and purpose. “The world needs graduates who will serve others and not just themselves. The world needs people who understand that success is not measured by what you earn, but also by what you contribute,” he said, while reminding the graduates to carry with them the values instilled by JHCSC as they enter the next chapter of their lives.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, Magna Cum Laude awardee Mr. Julius B. Palanas of BTVTEd-FSM delivered the valedictory address, recognizing the silent battles, sacrifices, and challenges his fellow graduates endured throughout their academic journey. He urged his classmates to remain grounded despite future successes, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and humility. “Wherever life takes us after today, may we never forget the struggles that shaped us. May success never make us forget humility, may achievement never make us forget gratitude, and may our future accomplishments always honor the sacrifices of those who helped us get here,” he remarked.

The commencement exercises also featured the distribution of diplomas and official Transcripts of Records (TORs) to all graduates, providing them with the necessary credentials to immediately pursue employment opportunities or continue their studies. The ceremony marked not only the culmination of years of hard work and perseverance but also the beginning of new journeys as the Class of 2026 prepares to contribute to their respective professions and communities as future-ready JHCSCians.
