The School of Business and Management (SBM) of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), headed by Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac Jr., paid tribute to parents and faculty members and recognized graduating students during its Tribute to Parents and Faculty and Recognition Program held on June 6, 2026, at Pavilion Hall, Dao, Pagadian City. Anchored on the theme “Lakbay: Charting New Horizons,” the event gathered SBM program chairs, faculty members, staff, parents, and graduating students in a celebration of gratitude and academic achievement.
Graduating students from the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM), Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep), and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) participated in the ceremony to honor those who played vital roles in their educational journey. Through various tribute segments, the graduates expressed their appreciation to their parents and mentors for their unwavering support, sacrifices, and guidance throughout their college years.
As part of the program, the students rendered a heartfelt song dedicated to their parents and faculty members and delivered messages of gratitude to the individuals who guided them throughout their academic journey. In return, selected parents and mentors responded with messages of appreciation, encouragement, and pride, making the ceremony more meaningful and emotional for those in attendance. The event also featured class prophecies presented by representatives from each academic program, in which graduates shared lighthearted predictions and envisioned the achievements, careers, and milestones they hope to attain as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
The ceremony was marked by moments of gratitude and reflection as students honored the hands behind their success and celebrated the culmination of their academic journey. It also marked a historic milestone for SBM as the pioneering batches of the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) programs became the first-ever graduates of their respective programs, signifying the continued growth of the college’s academic offerings and its commitment to producing future-ready professionals.
Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
