President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales led a Faculty Development Seminar conducted across the campuses of J.H. Cerilles State College, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to the continuous professional development of its faculty members. Serving as the resource speaker, President Rosales facilitated discussions focused on strengthening instructional competence and enhancing teaching and learning assessment practices in support of institutional academic standards.
The seminar was implemented through a series of campus-based sessions to ensure wide faculty participation. It was first conducted at the Dumingag Campus Function Hall on January 19, 2026, followed by the session for Main Campus faculty members at the Audio-Visual Room on January 20. The final session was held on January 21 at the JHCSC Hostel, gathering faculty members from the Pagadian and CMSE Campuses.
During the seminar, President Rosales emphasized key teaching approaches, strategies, methods, and techniques essential to effective classroom instruction. He underscored the importance of purposeful and responsive pedagogy, emphasizing that faculty members should continuously refine their teaching practices to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
Drawing from his extensive background and leadership in the field of education, President Rosales highlighted KASH—Knowledge, positive Attitude, Skills, and good Habits—as core attributes of effective educators. The Faculty Development Seminar reflected the institution’s sustained commitment to quality instruction and its enduring role in strengthening the academic competence and professional integrity of its faculty across all JHCSC campuses.
