Lloid Delos Santos, a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) Mathematics I student from the School of Teacher Education (STE) of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), clinched a Top 4 finish out of 15 participants in the 29th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) – Regional Championships held on November 6, 2025, at the LM Metro Hotel, Zamboanga City.

Delos Santos earned the right to represent Zamboanga del Sur at the regional level after emerging as Champion during the PSQ Provincial Eliminations on October 28, 2025, at Four Queens Resort, Tuburan District, Pagadian City, where he was also recognized as the Provincial Young Statistics Whiz of Zamboanga del Sur.

Mr. Romy Liwagon, BSEd Mathematics Instructor, played a key role in mentoring Delos Santos, guiding him toward a strong performance in competitions, which contributed to his continued success in regional championships, where he secured a top 4 finish. His achievements brought pride and honor to JHCSC, exemplifying the College’s commitment to quality education and inspiring fellow students to pursue excellence in mathematics and statistics.
