J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) reclaimed the Champion and 3rd Place titles in the 4th Regional Kabataang Organic Agriculture Quiz Bee, conducted by ATI-RTC IX on November 4, 2025, at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City. It marks a back-to-back victory, securing the same rankings for the second consecutive year as the College once again demonstrates its consistent academic excellence and strong foundation in organic agriculture.
Representing JHCSC in this year’s competition were fourth-year students from the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program at the Main Campus— Ms. Charlyn G. Acabal, who emerged as the 2025 regional champion, and Ms. Jeseca C. Velos, who secured 3rd place. They were mentored by Dr. Emelyn D. Tormes, SAFES Dean, whose expert guidance and unwavering support were instrumental in their outstanding success.
Eighteen (18) contenders from nine (9) State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and private institutions in Region IX offering BS Agriculture and allied programs participated in the 2025 Regional Quiz Bee. This year’s Champion, Ms. Acabal, together with her coach, Dr. Tormes, will represent Region IX in the National Organic Agriculture Quiz Bee, scheduled for November 24–25, 2025, in Manila, Philippines.
The JHCSC Community is proud of this remarkable achievement, which will continue to inspire excellence in the College’s BSA program.
