The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) was recognized as the Top School Partner in Mindanao Area by the Astoria Culinary and Hospitality Institute (ACHI) and received the 4-Year Loyalty Award during the Recognition of Partner Schools held at Chardonnay Hall, Astoria, Pasig City, on October 4, 2025. Representing the institution, Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., Dean of the School of Business and Management (SBM), accepted the awards on behalf of JHCSC.

The recognition highlights JHCSC’s commitment to academic excellence and productive partnerships in the field of hospitality management. It reflects the college’s continuous efforts to equip Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students with practical experiences essential to their professional development. This honor from ACHI reaffirms JHCSC’s standing as a trusted partner in producing competent and service-oriented graduates.

The accomplishment also mirrors the support of President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, whose guidance has strengthened the initiatives of the School of Business and Management. SBM continues to expand its collaborations and provide students with valuable learning experiences through its Internship Journey at Astoria Boracay, Manila, and Palawan, where they gain hands-on exposure to real-world hospitality operations.

Over four years of partnership with ACHI, JHCSC-SBM students have consistently demonstrated excellence, professionalism, and dedication during their internship programs. Under the supervision of Dr. Mandac, together with Dr. Myrna V. Ceño, BSHM Program Chair, and the faculty and staff of SBM, the students have proven that JHCSC remains a strong foundation for developing capable and globally competitive hospitality professionals.

Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
