The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) visited the J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Pagadian City Extension Campus to conduct a Unified Processing/Evaluation for Graduate Education Programs on February 27, 2025. The evaluation, held at the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, I.T. Building, aimed to assess the status and quality of the institution’s graduate education offerings. The event was led by CHED assessor Dr. Joe-an G. Cuaresma, who guided the evaluation process.

A total of forty-four (44) law student practitioners from JHCSC School of Law (SOL) took their oath at the Regional Trial Court, Branch 19, in Pagadian City on February 26, 2025. The ceremony serves as a key milestone in their Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) 2, carried out in accordance with Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court. Hon. Romero T. Descallar, Executive Judge, administered the oath, joined by SOL Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor and Judge Crislyn Pangandian-Sancho, CLEP Adviser.

The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) convened its 1st Quarter Regular Meetings of the Academic and Administrative Councils on February 24, 2025, at the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, I.T. Building, JHCSC Pagadian City Extension Campus. College President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales presided over both sessions, emphasizing collaborative governance and institutional development.

The School of Teacher Education (STE), led by Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, capped off its week-long STE Day celebration from February 17 to 21, 2025, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium in Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur. With the theme “Unleashing the Brilliance Within: Empowering Future Educators Through the Pillars of Education,” the event brought together aspiring educators to showcase their talents, skills, and camaraderie.

The Western Mindanao Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESMAARRDEC) conducted its first General Assembly on February 21, 2025, at the Grand Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City. Among the attendees were J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales and Prof. Ruel Lasagas, Director of Research and Resource Generation at JHCSC.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) conducted the National Competency Level III (NC III) Assessment in Horticulture from February 15-16, 2025, at the JHCSC Main Campus Community Extension Services Office. This event followed the previous assessment carried out from February 7-9, 2025.

The Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) Sidlak Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Team, led by Prof. Yehbron J. Lagud, Sidlak TBI Project Leader and Manager, conducted a courtesy visit to JHCSC on February 17, 2025, to conduct the Provincial Technopreneurship Caravan at the JHCSC Hostel, Pagadian City Extension Campus. The initiative aims to strengthen partnerships and explore potential collaborations in technology-driven business incubation.

The School of Teacher Education (STE) Day commenced on February 17, 2025, at the STE Gym, with the theme “Unleashing the Brilliance Within: Empowering Future Educators Through the Pillars of Education.” The event was facilitated by STE Mayor Mr. Ariel D. Dumingding and D’ Mentors’ Club Mayor Ms. Maria Lolita E. Hernandez, with the support of STE Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial.

J.H. Cerilles State College marked the celebration of Dilaab 2025 on February 14, 2025, at the Main Campus gymnasium, with the theme “Kindling Connections, Igniting Camaraderie,” setting the tone for the event. Organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Officers under the leadership of SSC Adviser Sir Ariel Sajulga and facilitated by Mr. Earl Ryan D. Siso, the event was supported by the Office of Student Affairs Services (OSAS), led by Dean Dr. Jonno E. Tan. The event was also in line with the celebration of National Arts Month 2025, highlighting the importance of culture and creativity.

Under the leadership of Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor, the JHCSC School of Law (SOL) hosted a testimonial and appreciation night on February 15, 2025, at the Pavilion Hall in Dao, Pagadian City. The event celebrated the achievements of those who passed the September 8, 11, and 15, 2024 BAR Examinations.
