The 2025 National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games unofficially opened during a solidarity meeting intended to promote unity among officials, delegates, and coaches on April 22, 2025, in the beautiful province of Camiguin.

The assembly signaled the beginning of the highly anticipated national sports activity, organized by Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC) together with the Provincial Government of Camiguin, the Association of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Region X, and the Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS), Inc. This year’s SCUAA Games take on the theme “Advancing SUC Unity, Elevating Sports Excellence for Sustainable Development” under the auspices of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC).

The solidarity meeting brought together representatives from the different state universities and colleges (SUCs) of the nation, paving the way for the week-long competition from April 22 to 27, 2025. Among the delegations was the delegation of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) headed by College President Edgardo H. Rosales.

During the session, coaches, sports and sociocultural directors, and team captains debated last-minute preparations, reaffirmed their commitment to fair play, and shared sportsmanship and solidarity messages. The session was also used to promote unity and respect among SUCs, which supported the sport as an instrument of nation-building and empowerment of youth.

JHCSC proudly stands as one of the representative schools from the Zamboanga Peninsula, Region IX. The institution brings a strong delegation of student-athletes, performers, coaches, and officials, all eager to compete and uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and regional pride. Their participation reflects the college’s commitment to athletic achievement and strengthening inter-regional unity and student development through sports and sociocultural competitions.

Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
