The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) community celebrated the culmination of its 24th Founding Anniversary with the Employees’ Night on August 30, 2025, at Pavilion Hall in Dao, Pagadian City. Administrators, faculty, and staff from all campuses gathered for an evening of recognition, entertainment, and camaraderie.

The evening drew an impressive roster of guests and leaders, led by CHED Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III, whose presence added prestige to the celebration. He was joined by Dr. Joseph Lou Sta. Teresa, OIC-Office of the Chief Education Program Specialist of CHED Regional Office IX; Dr. Joseph Cutab Pepito, President of Cebu Technological University (CTU); and Dr. Maria Rio Abdon Naguit, President of Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU). Present from JHCSC were the members of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Vice Presidents Dr. Jerry B. Superales for Research, Extension and Resource Generation and Mr. Wilfredo M. Barnido, Jr. for Administration and Finance, along with campus directors, deans, heads of offices, and regular and casual employees from all campuses.

Opening the festivities, Dumingag Campus Director Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin delivered a warm welcome toast and message that set the tone for the evening, followed by captivating performances from the Kalilintad Dance Ensemble of Pagadian Campus and the harmonious JHCSC Chorale under the leadership of Socio-Cultural Director Dr. Jeremias N. Perez. The JHCSC DanceSport Medalists, who showcased their award-winning talent at the Philippine DanceSport Federation (PDSF) 3rd Quarter National DanceSport Championship 2025 held on August 22–24 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, Lahug, Cebu City, also graced the event with a spectacular performance.

The program honored employees with 10, 20, and 30 years of government service and held an awarding ceremony for the winners of the Mobile Sports Festival for Employees. Surprise raffle draws and fun awards added excitement, keeping the atmosphere lively and engaging.

JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude and joined Commissioner Apag III in a duet that delighted guests, followed by a spirited “dance for all” led by Dr. Rosales, symbolizing unity and pride within the JHCSC community. The Employees’ Night served as a fitting conclusion to the month-long anniversary celebration, honoring the contributions of the workforce and reaffirming the college’s commitment to excellence in service and education.

Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
