The J.H. Cerilles State CollegeโSchool of Graduate Studies (JHCSC-SGS) held its orientation program for new graduate students on August 23, 2025, at the JHCSC Dumingag Campus Library. The activity gathered enrollees in the Master of Arts in Education and Master of Agricultural Development programs, along with SGS faculty members and staff from key student service offices.
Dumingag Campus Director Dr. Moises Glenn Tangalin also graced the activity to extend his support. He delivered an inspiring message, encouraging the students to persevere in their graduate studies and embrace the challenges of their master’s journey at JHCSC.
Highlighting the program, SGS Dean Dr. Patricia D. Bahian presented an overview of JHCSC and the School of Graduate Studies, including its academic policies and guidelines. Key personnel from the Registrar, Accounting, Library, and Guidance and Counseling Offices also discussed the services available to graduate students.
An open forum followed, providing students with the opportunity to raise questions and engage with the speakers. To make the orientation more comprehensive, the activity also featured a campus tour, a free medical check-up, and the election of SGS Student Council officers, fostering both academic and student leadership development.
The orientation served as an essential starting point for graduate students as they begin their academic journey with JHCSC, equipping them with the necessary information, support, and resources for a productive school year.
Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
