J.H. Cerilles State College employees from various campuses—Main, Pagadian, Dumingag, and Lakewood—graciously accepted President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales’ invitation to an advance celebration of his 55th birthday. On March 22, 2025, they gathered at his residence in Brentwood Subdivision, Kagawasan, Pagadian City, to honor his life, dedicated service, and visionary leadership. His family, friends, and neighbors also joined the celebration.

Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, CESE, Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IX (CHED-ROIX), was among the distinguished guests who graced the occasion with his presence.

The JHCSC Pagadian School of Business and Management (SBM), led by Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., extended their support by spearheading the event’s preparations, including decorations, food, and beverages.

Despite being the farthest campus, JHCSC Dumingag had the earliest attendees, led by Campus Director Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin. They serenaded President Rosales with heartfelt birthday songs and presented him with a money cake as a symbol of their appreciation. Employees from other campuses also came bearing gifts as tokens of gratitude and recognition for his leadership.

In addition to the delightful meals and beverages, President Rosales arranged for a live band to play. This special occasion allowed him to reconnect with friends and enjoy music together. He serenaded the crowd with lively melodies, while some attendees joined in with cheerful songs and others showcased their talents through energetic dance displays, all contributing to a vibrant and merry party.

President Rosales expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended his birthday celebration, which also served as a bonding session despite their hectic schedules. Deeply touched and thankful by their presence, he shared a saying: “If you truly want something, you will find a way; if not, you will find an excuse.”

The celebration not only marked a milestone in President Rosales’ life but also reinforced the strong sense of community and appreciation among the JHCSC family, highlighting their shared commitment to leadership and excellence.

Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
