The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) convened its 1st Quarter Regular Meetings of the Academic and Administrative Councils on February 24, 2025, at the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, I.T. Building, JHCSC Pagadian City Extension Campus. College President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales presided over both sessions, emphasizing collaborative governance and institutional development.

The sessions were scheduled consecutively using a blended approach to accommodate both in-person and online participation via Zoom. This initiative facilitated seamless engagement from all council members, regardless of physical location, and ensured that important academic and administrative matters were addressed efficiently. The Academic Council convened in the morning, followed by the Administrative Council in the afternoon, addressing crucial institutional matters to enhance academic programs and administrative operations.

During the morning session, the Academic Council addressed 12 agenda items for endorsement for Board of Trustees (BOT) approval. In the afternoon, the Administrative Council discussed 34 agenda items across various institutional matters, including Financial and Fiscal Matters, Projects for Award, Projects for Authority to Procure, and Administrative Matters, all presented for approval for endorsement for the Finance Committee Meeting (FinCom). Other matters were also given for endorsement for Board Approval. Not all the deliberated items were approved; some were deferred due to the need for further review, clarification, or additional documentation, and some will be reconsidered and possibly approved in the second quarter.

The deliberations and endorsements during the Academic and Administrative Council’s 1st Quarter Regular Meetings demonstrate council members’ commitment to institutional progress. By fostering a collaborative decision-making process, JHCSC continues to strengthen its mission of providing quality education and effective governance for the benefit of its stakeholders.

Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
