Faculty members from the School of Teacher Education (STE) at J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial and Mrs. Juvie B. Sebial were honored to present their research at the 11th International Conference on Teacher Education, hosted by the College of Education, University of the Philippines – Diliman. The conference was held on November 13-14, 2024, at the Iloilo Convention Center with the theme: “Preparing Teachers for Education 5.0 Toward Sustainable Futures: Thrusts, Challenges, and Praxis.”

Dr. Starr Clyde Sebial presented his study, “Metacognition, Self-Concept, Motivation, and Self-Efficacy in Mathematics: A Parallel Mediation Analysis,” co-authored with Mr. Ryan Vel Lantaca. This research explores key factors influencing students’ success in mathematics, with insights we hope will contribute to more effective teaching strategies. Meanwhile, Mrs. Juvie also presented a study, “Network Analysis of Service Quality and Satisfaction of Graduate Students: Exploring Gender and Marital Status Differences,” co-authored with Dr. Servillana Del Mundo and Dr. Starr Clyde Sebial.

Both STE Faculty Researchers extended their sincere gratitude to the J.H. Cerilles State College administration, especially to College President Dr. Edgardo Rosales, Vice President of Research, Extension, and Resource Generation (VPRERG) Dr. Jerry Superales, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Vilma Grengia, and Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) Mr. Wilfredo M. Barnido Jr., for their continued support in this endeavor. Moreover, they were grateful for the opportunity to share their work with educators and researchers dedicated to transforming education.
