In preparation for the MASTS Friendship Games 2024, scheduled for November 24-29, the JHCSC MASTS Committee held its first coordination meeting at the Pagadian Campus library on October 16, 2024. The meeting was led by College Sports Director Kathleen Jean A. Ursaiz and Culture and Arts Director Joseph Salimbangon, with the support of Main Campus Administrator Bemia Snooky Beboso and ManCom Chairman Manuel C. Paster Jr.

Key attendees included Dr. Jonno Tan, Dean of Student Affairs; Mr. Jerry Redoblado, JHCSC DRRMO Director; Hon. Glendell I. Oyo-a, Alumni Trustee and Provincial Government Office Representative; and Mr. Glenn Paul Roda, OIC-Provincial Sports Coordinator. Representatives from various Zamboanga del Sur government agencies, including the PNP, AFP, BFP, PDEA, PDRRMO, LDRRMO, DepEd, Bomb Squad, PEO, EOD, and Canine Unit, were also present, reflecting the extensive collaboration required for the event’s preparations.

The meeting focused on planning and coordinating every aspect of the upcoming games to ensure smooth operations. Discussions covered logistical arrangements, security measures, and the involvement of various stakeholders. By bringing together key personnel from JHCSC and representatives from multiple sectors, the committee aimed to anticipate challenges and streamline efforts for a well-organized and successful event. -RMOJ
