The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation (OVPRERG), led by Dr. Jerry B. Superales, facilitated a two-day training titled “Innovation and Project Impact Assessment,” participated by the forty-nine meticulously selected faculty researchers from across the JHCSC campuses, on October 10-11, 2024, at the Roxan Hotel in Pagadian City.

During the opening session, Main Campus Director Mrs. Bemia Snooky Beboso delivered an inspirational message on behalf of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, who was in Butuan City for a benchmarking activity at Caraga State University. Mrs. Beboso emphasized the importance of engaging in research that yields socio-economic benefits, encouraging participants to remain dedicated to impactful studies.

The event featured distinguished resource speakers, Dr. Raul B. Alamban, Environment Security and Protected Seas Planning and Management Specialist, and Engr. Edison A. Galauor, Quality Management Systems Specialist. Their expertise provided participants with a practical assessment in measuring project effectiveness through interactive sessions, workshops, and case studies, equipping them with the technology skills needed to enhance the impact of the projects that contribute to sustainable development in their respective fields.

This training initiative from OVPRERG reinforces JHCSC’s commitment to impactful research that addresses real-world challenges and promotes socio-economic progress by equipping faculty researchers with essential skills. It emphasizes innovation and project assessment, contributing to sustainable community development. -EMP
