The event, themed “The Resilient Heart: Investing in Global Nursing Excellence,” took place at the Pavilion Hall, Provincial Center, Dao, Pagadian City.

During the ceremony, President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales officially accepted the presentation of 197 candidates. The candle lighting ceremony then followed, representing the light of compassion and empathy that nurses bring to their patients in times of need, serving as beacons of hope and comfort. The capping and badging of the nursing students were assisted by the representatives from affiliated health agencies, including the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center (ZDSMC), Aisah Medical Center, Pagadian City Health Office, and representatives from JHCSC’s partner institution, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).

Among the attendees who witnessed the event were Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Patricia D. Their presence underscored the collective commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals and fostering a supportive community for the students.

Dr. Rody P. Garcia, Regional Director of CHED IX, served as the esteemed guest speaker for the ceremony. His inspiring speech underscored the importance of nursing students embodying a resilient heart, a vital quality for those entering the healthcare field. He encouraged the students to cultivate this trait, reminding them that their ability to adapt and persevere will enhance their personal growth and significantly impact the lives of those they serve.
