The JHCSC honored the academic achievement of Cluster 1 Class of 2024, comprising graduates from Main Campus, Lakewood Campus, and Pagadian Annex, at its 25th Commencement Exercises on June 20, 2024, at Mega Gymnasium, Provincial Government Complex, Dao, Pagadian City, with the theme “JHCSC Future Ready Graduates: The Genuine Response to the Challenges of the Industrial Revolution and Glocalization.”
Distinguished Guests who witnessed the Commencement Rites were Congw. Jeyzel Victoria C. Yu, 2nd District Representative, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, San Miguel Municipality Mayor Hon. Rex D. Ocapan, San Miguel Municipality SB Member Hon. Rosela E. Patigayon, PTA President Santiago O. Arig, and Provincial Government Representative Glendell Oyo-a.

Commencement Speaker Congw. Jeyzel Victoria C. Yu said in her message, “As we close this chapter, a new beginning has just begun. There will be more challenges, but there will also be a lot of experiences. Be resilient because better opportunities are coming,” encouraging the students to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.
Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs, acknowledged the twenty Academic Awardees among 1,179 undergraduate program Graduates from Cluster 1 and said, “Today, we celebrate the achievements of these exceptional students and recognize the values and morals which these awardees exemplified like discipline, perseverance, and seal for learning,” underscoring their exceptional dedication and academic excellence.
Faher G. Watamama, the first-ever Cum Laude in the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) program, expressed gratitude to his supporters in his valedictory address, “This achievement will never become possible if it is not because of those people behind it, those people who extended their hands in achieving this milestone,” reflecting on the journey that led to his historic achievement.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt performances, including the Batch Song, Mob Dance, and the singing of the JHCSC Hymn, followed by a photo opportunity and a dignified Recessional March.
As JHCSC continues to soar higher, it reaffirms its commitment to providing quality tertiary education, producing equipped graduates to face global challenges with strength and courage.
