Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, the JHCSC President, attends the National Higher Education Day (NHED) Summit 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Receptional Hall in Pasay City, with the theme “Access, Quality, and Competitiveness at the Core of Higher Education Progress.”
The Summit, which started on May 15, 2024, comprises three segments. First is “USAP,” which focuses on presentations and discussions relevant to the theme. Second, labeled as “ULAT,” the Summit’s highlight is the report of CHED Chairperson Prospero E. De Vera entitled “The State of Higher Education in the Philippines” and the special address of His Excellency President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. Third, “UGNAY” is the celebration of CHED Officials and personnel about the CHED’s 13th anniversary.
The NHED Summit 2024, organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), allows leaders of higher education institutions, including Region 9 Ched officials and SUC presidents, to reinforce existing collaborations and establish new partnerships as they collectively address the issues and concerns of the Philippine education system.
President Rosales’ participation is proof of his commitment to enhancing higher education. Along with other leaders, aim to ensure the Philippine educational landscape remains dynamic, inclusive, and competitive.
