The J.H. Cerilles State College School of Teacher Education (STE), organized a memorable High School Day and Family Day 2024 on April 5, 2024, at the College Gymnasium in Mati, San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur.
Led by Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, in collaboration with the dedicated faculty and staff of the JHCSC Laboratory High School, unfolded the event under the theme “Embracing Camaraderie through Literacy, Dance, and Family Engagement.”
On behalf of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation Dr. Jerry B. Superales gave an inspirational message. Also, Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs, delivered a motivational message.
The event’s highlight was the exhibition of skills and talents of JHCSC Laboratory High School Students from grades 7 to 10 in an array of competitions, including Storytelling, Spoken Poetry, and Power Dance.
In addition, the event promoted a sense of familial unity and bonding as families performed Zumba Dances and delightful duets in grade-level contests and engaged in lively parlor games, adding an extra layer of joy and togetherness.
Dean Sebial expressed gratitude to all involved in organizing and participating in the day’s activities. The High School Day and Family Day 2024 celebration was J.H. Cerilles State College’s demonstration of dynamic culture and sense of community.
