BSES Day 2024

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BES) Day at JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium was a vibrant celebration of environmental advocacy and academic excellence on March 8, 2024, under the theme “Rising Together: BSES Empowers a Greener Tomorrow.”
The event’s highlight was the crowning of Mr. & Miss Enbaysay 2024, with Lorelei Bulandres (House of Ares) and Algie Ken Monternil (House of Demeter) as the deserving winners. Their dedication to environmental stewardship stood out in the tough competition.
Adding to the excitement were the Air, Water, and Earth Ambassadors, who exemplified a commitment to environmental causes:

Air Ambassadors: Arjie Campena (House of Ares) and Ricalyn Ludioman (House of Zeus),
Water Ambassadors: Vincel Bryon Calacala (House of Zeus) and Elgie Rose Guatno (House of Demeter), Earth Ambassadors: Lester Jeff Abad and Chairen F. Baroro (both from the House of Poseidon).

The House of Ares emerged as the OVERALL Champion, showcasing their dedication to environmental advocacy. The House of Demeter secured 1st place, followed by the House of Zeus in 2nd place and the House of Poseidon in 3rd place.
The event celebrated exceptional individuals and emphasized how vital sustainability and environmental awareness are. JHCSC, led by President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, encourages future generations to support environmental stewardship for a better and more environmentally friendly future.
Similarly, the event was enthusiastically driven by the collective efforts of the BSES faculty under the guidance of program chair Dr. Rosanilio M. Yagos and JESS Adviser Mr. Joe Calanda. Joining them were the dedicated officers of the JHCSC Environmental Student Society, led by President Mr. Mike Bryan Caliso. Notably, Dr. Jerry B. Superales, the VP for Research, Extension and Resource Generation at JHCSC, was also in attendance, providing unwavering support.
