JHCSC School of Teacher Education Partners with DepED Zamboanga del Sur Division for Off-Campus Student Training

Another batch of Student-Teacher Trainees are set to have their Off-Campus Training after the successful conduct of the Off-Campus Training and Pinning of Pre-Service Teachers from the School of Teacher Education (STE) of JH Cerilles State College in partnership with Department of Education (DepED) Division of Zamboanga del Sur. It was sealed through a MoA Signing between JHCSC represented by President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales with STE Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial and Department of Education (DepED) Zamboanga del Sur Division represented by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Jeanelyn A. Aleman.

In his inspirational message, JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales urged the student-trainees to give their very best during their off-campus teaching assignments as competent products of the institution. He emphasized the importance of using advanced knowledge and new technologies to compete with other institutions. However, he also stressed the significance of having a strong foundation in the basic knowledge acquired during their college education. President Rosales believes that, with this combination, they can be highly competent and on par with other colleges and universities.

As part of the student orientation, a series of seminar workshops was conducted by field experts over the past four days. These experts shared their knowledge in their specialized fields, including: Dr. Lee G. Braquia on Action Research, Dr. Eimie T. Aruelo on Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers, Dr. Rudolf Jhon T. Rodriguez on Reading Across Content Areas, Mr. Matthew T. Sabasales on Teaching and Learning Models and Dr. Eugenio B. Penales on Matatag Curriculum.

Likewise, officials from DepED Zamboanga del Sur Division who are responsible for supervising student interns from JHCSC during their off-campus training were also present. They include Dr. Raymond M. Salvador, CESO VI, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Jerry C. Bokingkito, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Juliet A. Magallanes, Chief Education Supervisor, CID; and Dr. Gay A. Apduhan, Chief Education Supervisor, SGOD.
