In order to uphold compliance, streamline efficiency, and enhance the effectiveness of the college’s procurement procedures, Dr. Joel M. Sabellano Jr., the OIC-Chief Administrative Officer of JH Cerilles State College, in collaboration with the institution’s Finance Committee, spearheaded an orientation session.
This orientation was designed to guide the development of the Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) and Annual Procurement Plan (APP), and it saw the participation of the college’s key leaders and department heads. The event was conducted at the Conference Hall, the third floor of the I.T Building at JHCSC Pagadian Annex on October 19, 2023.
The orientation covered various important topics, including Policy formulation related to the PPMP and APP; Information on the latest catalog for commonly used supplies, market prices, and market studies; Updates on the procurement system; Inventory management of supplies and the Budget allocation for goods and services.
Dr. Sabellano emphasized that the orientation would help employees understand legal requirements, budgeting, risk management, and transparency. These elements are critical for achieving better procurement outcomes, which aligns with the focus areas of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales in ensuring the institution’s welfare.
It’s evident that JHCSC is taking a proactive approach to enhance its procurement processes, which is essential for the efficient operation and financial well-being of the institution. By providing this training and orientation, JHCSC is taking steps to ensure that all employees involved in procurement are well-informed and aligned with the institution’s goals and legal requirements.
