The JHCSC School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Graduate Students’ Orientation at JHCSC Pagadian Annex led by Dean Dr. Patricia D. Bahian successfully welcomed incoming graduate students, introduced them to faculty and staff, and provided essential information on policies and procedures. It was held at the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, IT Building, JHCSC Pagadian Annex on September 28, 2023.
Various Master of Arts in Education specializations, as well as students from other programs including MSERM and MAGDev, attended the event. The VPAA, Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, in her Welcome Remarks, gave inspirational thoughts to the students to gain clarity on their academic paths.
Key topics covered during the orientation included academic policies, intellectual property, student rights, and library resources. An open forum allowed for student engagement and questions. Additionally, an election for the SGS Student Council was conducted. The event concluded with an activity evaluation to enhance future orientations and better meet student needs.
