President Battung attends Capacity Development Workshop on Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol for SUC Presidents

As an institution involved in the internationalization initiatives of higher education, J.H. Cerilles State College represented by Pres. Mary Jocelyn V. Battung, participated in the Capacity Development Workshop on Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol for SUC Presidents held in Raddison Blu, Cebu City on March 4 – 5, 2020.
The event featured opportunities for higher education professionals to learn ways how they can increase their global reputation, improve their international footprint, seek out partnerships, and sustain linkages efficiently.
The event also highlighted the accomplishments of HEIs with partner schools and agencies abroad to inspire other presidents of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the country.
Protocols and standards can provide tremendous benefits. Through these, Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) can develop and build professional, mutually respectful atmosphere and improve the communication and quality of collaborations between PHEIs and foreign universities and colleges.
The workshop aimed to enable the SUC Presidents to build credibility and relationships with international partners, observe rules of international etiquette and cultural protocols, and enhance professionalism networking skills.
The workshop is part of the program dubbed as “Pathways to Opportunity: Education USA-CHED Speaker Series on Internationalization”.
Present during the event were the officials of the Commission on Higher Education led by Chairman J. Prospero E. De Vera III, Commissioner Lilian A. De Las Llagas, Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat, Commissioner Perfecto A. Alibin, Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag, and Public Affairs Counselor -U.S. Embassy in the Philippines Philip Roskamp.
