Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened the multi-million Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab) Shared Service Facility at J.H. Cerilles State College- Pagadian Annex, Pagadian City on September 12, 2019.
JHCSC will be managing the Fablab, which is part of the Shared Service Facility (SSF) Program of DTI.
The said program will help proprietors of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) transform their creativity into tangible reality.
The fabrication laboratory has 3D printing machines, laser cutting machines, and computerized impressing machines which can create product prototypes.
The facility offers digital fabrication that will translate MSMEs’ creative ideas into prototypes for mass production.
As show of support to the program, Zamboanga del Sur Second District Rep. Leonardo L. Babasa Jr. graces the event and leads the ribbon cutting ceremony.
A signing of the Memorandum of Agreement and Usufruct Agreement between J.H. Cerilles State College and DTI Region- IX led by Regional Director Sitti Amina M. Jain was held after the program which were witnessed by DTI-IX OIC- Assistant Regional Director Al-Zamir I. Lipae, DTI-ZDS OIC Provincial Director Grace DC. Aduca and Rep. Leonardo L. Babasa Jr. in forging partnership, networking and collaboration in fully utilizing the Fablab equipment.
