J.H. Cerilles State College welcomes CHED Commissioner Libre

Another significant event for the college as the J.H. Cerilles State College family led by President Dr. Mary Jocelyn Villejo-Battung finally sees and welcomes the newly-appointed Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education and the newly-designated Chair of the Board of Trustees, Honorable Jo Mark Maribujo Libre. Together with him is the Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education – Region IX, Dr. Rody P. Garcia and ZPPSU President Dr. Nelson P. Cabral last May 13-14, 2022.

Pres. Battung along with the college’s key officials, faculty, staff and student officers led SSC President and Student Trustee, Hon. Kevin Aballe with JHCSC Dumingag Campus Administrator Dr. Nannete D. Bilabao welcome Comm. Libre thru a short program during his supervisory visit at Dumingag Campus.

In his message, with the willingness to support the college, Comm. Libre looks forward to listening to the issues and concerns and finding necessary solutions for the advancement of the institution. He also underscore supporting the needs of the students ensuring equal access to quality higher education, and the advancement of learning and research for the faculty.

Likewise, Comm. Libre also inspected every area of the JHCSC Dumingag in Caridad and Dapiwak Campus, JHCSC Lakewood Campus, JHCSC Pagadian Annex and spearheaded the tree planting activity at JHCSC Main Campus in Mati on May 14, 2022 as part of their campus tour.

Dr. Jo Mark Libre was named as new CHED Commissioner after President Rodrigo Roa Duterte officially signed his appointment papers on February 9, 2022. He will serve a three-year term until July 21, 2025.
