JHCSC LUDIP completion intensified

In compliance with Republic Act No. 11396, also known as the “SUCs Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) Act”, J.H. Cerilles State College led by Pres. Mary Jocelyn Villejo Battung the Chair of the Institution’s Planning Committee in partnership with Central Mindanao University (CMU) headed by Dr. Jupiter V. Casas, CMU’s LUDIP lead proponent represented by EnP Angela Grace Toledo-Bruno, assistant project team leader, conducted coaching session on Data Collection and Preparation, Map Generation and Narrative Report Preparation on February 23-26, 2022 at JHCSC Undergraduate Library, Pagadian Annex, Pagadian City.

The CMU LUDIP team also inspected the land properties as well as the existing structures of JHCSC at the Main Campus in Mati, San Miguel, as well as at Canuto MS Enerio Campus, Biswangan, Lakewood, JHCSC Dumingag Campus in Caridad and Dapiwak, Dumingag and JHCSC Pagadian Annex, Balangasan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

JHCSC has partnered with CMU for technical support and assistance in compliance with Republic Act No. 11396 requiring all State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to craft a comprehensive plan for allocating, utilizing, developing, and managing land resources.

Pres. Battung has institutionalized a team chaired by Engr. Rodrigo P. Millares Jr., EnP, the Planning and Development Director of JHCSC, together with the University of the Philippines- School of Urban and Regional Planning (UP-SURP) trained 5- Faculty Member Comprehensive Development Planning (CDP) Team along with the college’s technical working group committee members.

Central Mindanao University, the partner Institution of JHCSC, has been selected by CHEd to implement its CPE program, for the merit of its proposal, “Capacitating Philippine State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in sustainable Land Development and Infrastructure Planning”. JHCSC has been selected by CMU as one of its partners/recipients of this program along with nine (9) others from Mindanao and Visayas.

In the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), CMU shall provide free training modules to JHCSC, guide JHCSC in the drafting of CLUDIP, provide technical experts during the training and shoulder the expenses of the trainings both virtual and in person and travels of the team.

JHCSC’s responsibilities include the creation of a planning team who shall attend religiously to the capacity-building activities, provide venue and accommodation to the LUDIP team during in-person training as well as financial and logistical support. Most importantly, the commitment to finish all necessary works and come up with CLUDIP ready for approval by the JHCSC governing board.
