J.H. Cerilles State College held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for its Second Female Dormitory on March 2, 2026, at the JHCSC STE Mini Gym, marking a significant step in strengthening the institution’s student welfare programs.

The project, part of the college’s Gender-Responsive and Student Welfare Initiative, aims to provide a safe and accessible residential facility for female students, particularly those coming from distant areas.

The ceremony gathered key officials from the college, the local government, and project partners. Dr. Trinidad C. Abapo, Campus Director, welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of expanding student support facilities within the campus.

Providing the rationale for the project was Engr. Archel B. Bacus, Director of the Planning and Development Office (PDO), who emphasized the institution’s commitment to addressing the accommodation needs of its growing student population.

The project overview was presented by Engr. Trixia Bennazir E. Mago of NRMM Construction and Development Corporation, outlining the proposed dormitory and its intended benefits for female students.

Messages of support were also delivered by San Miguel Municipal Mayor Hon. Ex D. Ocapan and JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, both expressing their support for initiatives that promote student welfare, safety, and gender-responsive development within the institution.

The groundbreaking ceremony symbolizes another milestone for JHCSC as it continues to invest in infrastructure that enhances the quality of campus life and strengthens its commitment to providing inclusive and supportive learning environments for its students.
