Developed by J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) through its research and extension initiatives led by Dr. Jerry B. Superales, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation, ePharian continues to serve as a digital marketplace that connects farmers directly to buyers. The application is funded by the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural Research in collaboration with the Bureau of Soils and Water Management. Derived from the Subanen term “PHARIAN,” locally known as “Taboan” in Bisaya, the platform serves as a modern-day marketplace, empowering farmers with accessible digital marketing tools and strengthening the local agri-economy.

Through ePharian, farmers can post and sell their agricultural products online, upload images, and provide complete product details to reach a wider audience. The app supports pre-marketing, allowing farmers to secure buyers even before harvest and plan their income more efficiently. Buyers can conveniently scan, search, and browse available products, compare prices, check product details, and directly communicate with farmers using the provided contact details—making selling and buying easier, fairer, and more accessible to all.

By using ePharian, communities help eliminate unnecessary middlemen, promote fair pricing, and uplift the hardworking individuals who bring food to every table. The platform also supports local government units and stakeholders in monitoring production and supply while fostering stronger partnerships within the agricultural sector.

Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
