The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) has released its Technical Review and Board Action report, confirming that the Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BSF) Program at J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Main Campus has successfully passed its recent accreditation survey, earning a Level I Accredited status. Furthermore, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program (BSIT) at Canuto MS Enerio Campus in Lakewood has been re-accredited at Level II.
The survey visit, conducted from August 25 to 29, 2025, saw the AACCUP Visiting Team assess key areas of the implementation for both programs. The BSF Main Program (1st Survey) obtained a “Satisfactory” descriptive rating, while the BSIT CMSE-Lakewood Program (2nd Survey – Revisit all Areas) earned a rating of “Very Satisfactory,” affirming the programs’ commitment to quality education and continuous improvement in line with national accreditation standards.
This accomplishment was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Quality Assurance (QA) Office, led by Ms. Joie Mercybelle Capitanea, and the JHCSC Accreditation Taskforce, which includes the BSF Main Program Team under SAFES Dean Dr. Emelyn D. Tormes and BSF Program Chair For. Nomar Ramonsito, and the BSIT CMSE-Lakewood Team under SoCS Dean Prof. Elsie Ybañez, with support from Campus Director Prof. Bobby Piscos and BSIT Program Chair Mr. Jordan Saladaga.
Under the leadership of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, the administration continues to prioritize accreditation as a key institutional goal. This achievement marks another milestone for the College as it further strengthens academic excellence and enhances program quality across Campuses.
Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
