𝐉𝐇𝐂𝐒𝐂-𝐒𝐁𝐌 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐙𝐏 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The delegation from J.H. Cerilles State College-School of Business Management (JHCSC-SBM) made a remarkable showing at the 12th Council of Tourism and Hospitality Educators of ZamPen (CTHEZP) Regional Congress and Skills Competition, held from November 26 to 28, 2025, at Jose Rizal Memorial State University in Dapitan City. Under the guidance of Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., the SBM Team emerged as the Overall Champion among 15 competing higher education institutions (HEIs) in the region.

This year’s congress, with the theme “Upholding Rizal’s Legacy and Embracing Halal Principles: Strengthening Cultural Integrity, Ethical Hospitality, and Sustainable Tourism in Zamboanga Peninsula,” served as a vibrant platform for HEIs in the region to showcase students’ talents and creativity through academic contests and technical skills challenges, fostering collaboration, innovation, and healthy competition.

The JHCSC-SBM delegation distinguished itself across multiple categories, earning both major titles and numerous top placements. Among the prestigious recognitions were the Investor’s Choice Awardee in Business Pitching, the Mr. CTHEZP 2025 Crown, and the Miss CTHEZP 2025 First Runner-Up.

In the skills and academic competitions, the JHCSC-SBM delegation clearly dominated the leaderboard. They secured first-place victories in several categories, including Business Pitching, Best Research Paper, Best Paper Presenter, Poster Presentation, Table Skirting, Market Basket, and Tour Guiding.

The SBM team’s strong performance continued with second-place finishes in Business Pitching, Table Setting, Tour Package Proposal, Cake Decorating, and FA Showmanship. They also earned third-place awards in Fruit and Vegetable Carving and the Quiz Bowl, while fourth-place honors were captured in Floral Arrangement and Napkin Folding, and fifth place in Synchronized Flairing and Bed Making.

JHCSC expressed pride in the SBM delegation’s outstanding performance, which showcased their dedication, teamwork, and competitive distinction, bringing honor to the institution and reinforcing the College’s commitment to academic excellence and skills development.
