The Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) – Sidlak Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Team, led by Prof. Yehbron J. Lagud, Sidlak TBI Project Leader and Manager, conducted a courtesy visit to JHCSC on February 17, 2025, to conduct the Provincial Technopreneurship Caravan at the JHCSC Hostel, Pagadian City Extension Campus. The initiative aims to strengthen partnerships and explore potential collaborations in technology-driven business incubation.

Attended by JHCSC officials, including Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation Dr. Jerry B. Superales and Dumingag Campus Director Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin, the event gathered deans, program chairs, and students, primarily from the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program. The JRMSU Sidlak TBI Team was also represented by Ms. Jariet S. Adriatico, MBS Portfolio Manager/ITSO Officer; Ms. Maria Corina E. Camazo, Ed.D., Procurement and Finance Manager/KITSO Director; and Mr. Renzo B. De Los Santos, Project Technical Assistant III.

Prof. Lagud conducted a lecture about JRMSU Sidlak TBI, highlighting its role in mentoring startups to develop marketable products and services, deploying secure applications, and promoting smart tourism experiences. He emphasized the project’s potential to support the tourism industry in the region by fostering innovative and sustainable solutions for entrepreneurs.

The initiative, supported by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), aims to establish research, extension, and community development collaborations with JHCSC. It also seeks to provide startup teams with media exposure, event participation, and opportunities to secure additional funding for business growth.
