The JHCSC Basketball Team made history by claiming a dominant 74-59 victory over Southern Mindanao Colleges in Game 2 Finals of the Asenso Athletics Cup Season 2 Inter-School Basketball Tournament βCollege Division, held on January 18, 2025, at the Asenso Covered Court, Plaza Luz, Pagadian City. This commanding win secured their second consecutive championship, standing as a powerful testament to their unwavering determination, skill, and excellence.
At the core of this success is the visionary leadership of the Coaching President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, whose guidance and support have been crucial to the teamβs victory, alongside assistant coaches Mr. Jubie de Paz and Prof. Ruel S. Lasagas. Their expertise, commitment, and tireless efforts have honed the teamβs strategies, enabling each player to perform at their highest level and contribute to the collective triumph.
Mr. Jaime Sistosoβs stellar performance throughout the tournament earned him back-to-back Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and was also recognized as one of the Mythical Five. His exceptional skills, leadership, and timely plays were crucial to the teamβs success, solidifying his role as a key figure in securing the back-to-back championship title.
