A Faculty and Staff Meeting was conducted on January 7, 2025, at the J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Lakewood Campus. The meeting, led by JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, with Prof. Bobby S. Piscos, Lakewood Campus Director, and Dr. Rebie Marie Matildo, Lakewood Campus Academic Director, served as an orientation and motivational session for the faculty and staff. The primary goal was to discuss strategies for fostering academic growth and development in the coming year.
Key attendees included Mr. Ricky A. Egos, Extension Director; Dr. Joel Sabellano, Finance Director; Mr. Ruel Lasagas, Resource Generation Director; and Mr. Wilfredo Barnido, Jr., Vice President for Administration and Finance, alongside program chairs, faculty, and staff from the campus. The meeting provided a platform for discussing various academic and administrative goals, ensuring all faculty and staff were aligned for the yearβs objectives.
During his address, Dr. Rosales emphasized the importance of obtaining program certifications to help advance the institution toward universityhood. He also stressed the need for fostering positive relationships between faculty, staff, and students to create a cohesive and effective learning environment. Dr. Rosales encouraged faculty members to revisit their syllabi and enhance their teaching strategies. Highlighting the three-fold mission of the Research, Instruction, and Extension for a state university’s faculty. Moreover, he commended the faculty and staff for their dedication and expressed optimism for the institution’s development in 2025.
