JH Cerilles State College (JHCSC) participated in the 1st International Multidisciplinary Research Conference held on December 7-8, 2024, at the Mibang Hotel in Dipolog City. The conference, organized by St. Vincent’s College Graduate School, the Research and Development Office, and the Center for Community Extension and Linkages, partnered with international institutions such as Rangsit University (Thailand) and Norton University (Cambodia). It focused on the theme “Innovative Research for Sustainable Futures: Harnessing Digitalization to Advance the UN SDGs through Global Collaboration.”
Notably, Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, Dean of the School of Teacher Education, received a Certificate of Best Paper Presentation for his manuscript titled “Network Analysis of Service Quality and Satisfaction Among Graduate Students: Exploring Gender and Marital Status Differences.” His recognition highlights the high caliber of research that underscores the institution’s commitment to contributing valuable insights to the global academic community.
In addition, Dr. Sebial led the JHCSC delegation, including six faculty members from the STE, one from the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), and two graduate alums, accompanied by their adviser, Dr. Edna Sumagang. Faculty members, students, and alumni actively participated, contributing to research presentations and engaging in discussions throughout the event.
During the conference, JHCSC delegates presented research on digitalization’s role in sustainable futures, fostering valuable discussions. The event offered networking opportunities with international researchers and included workshops and sessions on how innovative research can support the UN SDGs, particularly in education and sustainability.
