SOCJE Conducts Recognition Rites and Inter-agency MOA Signing Ceremony

The School of Criminal Justice Education (SOCJE) of JHCSC Main Campus conducted its annual Recognition Rites and Inter-agency Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing on September 20, 2024, at JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium. Principal attendees for the said program are some law enforcement stakeholders from regions of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region IX, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region IX, Zamboanga del Sur Maritime, and several Municipal Police Stations.
The ceremony was characterized by a ceremonial parade from the CITU Troops as representatives that exemplified discipline and teamwork. Dr. Mark E. Patalinghug, SOCJE Dean, presented 62 criminology interns, of which 15 are CITU Advanced Officers and 47 elements. The significant milestone had gracing by parents and guardians who were actively involved in pinning nameplates for the interns.
In his motivational speech, Dean Patalinghug was most thankful to the parents for their trust in JHCSC and asked the interns to work hard towards achieving their aspirations. He also thanked Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, President of JHCSC, for his unceasing support.

The event featured an important message from JCSUPT. Johnson M. Calub, DM, CESE, the Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, who emphasized the importance of collaboration among agencies in nurturing the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
This program not only showcased the skills of the interns but also had dynamic demonstrations of CQB, SUT, and Silent Drill by the CITU Troops. C/INT. MAJ. Johnrey Lucero, CITU Chief, during his closing remarks, inspired the interns with a call to stay active in the public service.
Today marks an important milestone in inter-agency cooperation, as well as the next generation of criminal justice leaders. -PCDP.
