The J.H. Cerilles State College Main Campus kicked off its 3-day PHELEMET 2024 yesterday, April 16, 2024, at JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium under the theme, “Empowerment through Sports: Bridging Sociocultural Divides and Unleashing Potentials.”
Honorable Rex D. Ocapan, Mayor of San Miguel, graciously supports the College’s Intramurals Opening Celebration by accepting JHCSC’s invitation as a guest speaker.
President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales led the hoisting of the JHCSC Banner together with Dr. Jerry P. Superales, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation, and Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Their united gesture symbolized the College’s commitment to excellence and unity in sportsmanship.
Following this was the Raising of Delegation Banners, spearheaded by their respective Deans. The teams represented include the School of Teacher Education (STE) Blue Wolves, the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) Red Dragon, the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) Yellow Tiger, the School of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences (SAFES) Bull Warriors, the School of Criminal Justice Education (SOCJE) Black Panther, and the School of Business Management (SBM) Pink Phoenix.
One of the program’s highlights was the entrance of the friendship torch and the lightning of the cauldron of peace and unity, the sashing of official candidates for Mr. and Miss JHCSC 2024, and thrilling competitions such as Bench Yelling (won by SBM) and Mass Power Dance (claimed by STE).
As PHELEMET 2024 unfolds, players and viewers can expect an incredible display of talent, skills, teamwork, and the unwavering spirit of the JHCSC community.
