Transformative Leadership Explored: Highlights from the ECHO-SEMINAR Day 1

To foster forward-thinking leadership and strategic governance, JHCSC hosted the highly anticipated ECHO-SEMINAR. The event, titled “Regional Futures Consortium Workshop: High-Level Anticipatory Leadership and Governance Executive Course” today, February 27, 2024, at the Roxan Hotel, Pagadian City, drawing together a diverse array of participants from within the institution.
The Future Thinking Committee organized this seminar to equip JHCSC executives, administrators, department heads, and academic leaders with the tools and insights necessary to navigate the complexities of tomorrow’s educational landscape. Spearheaded by the esteemed Planning Director, Dr. Cleofe Baterna, and guided by the visionary leadership of Committee Chair Dr. Jerry B. Superales, whose vision for anticipatory leadership propelled the seminar’s sessions forward. VP for Research, Extension and Resource Generation, Dr. Jerry B. Superales, set the tone with his welcoming remarks, urging attendees to embrace the challenges ahead and cultivate a mindset primed for insight, innovation, and imagination.
Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, President of JHCSC, stressed the importance of forward-thinking leadership in his message, urging JHCSC leaders to implement future-oriented activities to shape the institution’s image ten years ahead. Emphasizing advancements in research, production, and technology, he highlighted addressing societal issues like poverty, hunger, and women’s empowerment as critical goals.
Distinguished members of the Future Thinking Committee delivered a range of insightful seminars for attendees throughout the day. College Planning Officer, Engr. Rodrigo P. Millares, Jr., had a comprehensive Echo Seminar Review,while Mr. Bobby Piscos explored the Theory of Change and Anticipatory Governance Frameworks. Additionally, Mr. Juda Cabalog, representing the Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO),discussed future-proofing organizational performance at JHCSC through understanding the Strategic Performance Management System.
Dr. Joel M. Sabellano, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Chairman of PMT, concluded the series with a session on strategic alignment, emphasizing the integration of OPCR in anticipatory governance at JHCSC. The ECHO-SEMINAR Day 1 ended on a high note, leaving participants inspired and equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to embark on a transformative journey toward academic excellence and societal impact.
