JHCSC Prepares to Host MASTS Games 2024

For the second time, JH Cerilles State College, led by Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, is gearing up to host the much-anticipated Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) Inc. 2024 event this September. With Dr. Rosales at the helm for his second term as college president, the institution is poised to deliver another successful event.
Supported by the provincial government of Zamboanga del Sur, spearheaded by Governor Victor J. Yu, along with representatives Congw. Divina Grace C. Yu and Congw. Jeyzel Victoria C. Yu, JHCSC aims to welcome approximately 12,000 coaches, participants, and visitors for the weeklong athletic and socio-cultural extravaganza. Thirty-three state universities from six regions across Mindanao are expected to participate in the MASTS Games.
In preparation for the event, a dedicated event management team was formed on February 23, 2024, at the JHCSC Conference Hall, Pagadian Annex. Chaired by Pres. Rosales and guided by Mr. Glendel Oyoa, representing the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur, the team will focus on various aspects including games venues, participant accommodations, and security at the provincial government complex in Dao, Pagadian City.
Pres. Rosales expresses confidence in the success of the event, attributing it to the full support of the provincial government and the responsive efforts of the event management team. Further meetings are scheduled to ensure meticulous preparation for the upcoming event.
