JHCSC TABANGE Extension Program’s “PROJECT GOOD LIFE”

In a resounding affirmation of the JHCSC’s TABANGE Community Extension Program, notably the impactful “Project Good Life: Holistic Psychoeducation Program for Friends Rescued (Former Rebels),” JHCSC Guidance Counselor and Project Leader, Dr. Moibe F. Olitres, alongside the dedicated faculty of the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), conducted a thorough evaluation. This assessment revealed a significantly positive influence on the lives of former rebels and their families, empowering them for successful reintegration into their communities. The evaluation occurred at the Good Life Village, 53rd IB, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, on November 24, 2023, hosted by the 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion in Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

Driven by innovation, this initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Provincial Task Force ELCAC under the leadership of Gov. Victor J. Yu, is strategically designed for sustainability. It provides comprehensive support to those recovering from conflict, arming them with essential tools to rebuild their lives. Further reinforcing their commitment to community resilience, JHCSC, in partnership with the 53rd Infantry Battalion, has launched the Youth Resiliency Program, a proactive measure against youth radicalization.

JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales expresses gratitude for the collaborative efforts, highlighting shared determination with the military to uphold peace and order. This promising partnership between JH Cerilles State College and the 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion holds the potential to shape a safer and more prosperous future for the people of Zamboanga del Sur.
