𝐉𝐇𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯. 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐂. 𝐘𝐮

The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) community joined various government agencies and local officials in celebrating the birthday of Hon. Divina Grace C. Yu, Provincial Governor of Zamboanga del Sur, during a gathering held on April 21, 2026, at the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Capitol in Pagadian City.

Representing JHCSC in the gathering were Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Trinidad C. Abapo, Main Campus Director; Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin, Dumingag Campus Director, along with several heads of offices and staff. The JHCSC Chorale also serenaded the governor as part of the institution’s birthday tribute.

Also present during the celebration were representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), as well as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Zamboanga del Sur, municipal mayors, department heads, the Pagadian City Sangguniang Kabataan and Liga ng mga Barangays, KALIPI, ZSSAT, and the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), who gathered to serenade and honor the governor on her special day.

The JHCSC community likewise conveyed its deep appreciation to Divina Grace C. Yu for her enduring support and leadership in championing the institution’s milestones, particularly its historic transition into Zamboanga del Sur State University (ZDSSU), reflecting the strong partnership between the provincial government and the academic community in advancing quality education in Zamboanga del Sur.
