Mr. Norhan B. Kudarat, an esteemed faculty member of the School of Teacher Education (STE) of JHCSC, received the Peter’s Prize Medallion and a Certificate from Carlos Palanca Hall of Fame awardee and PSN Foundation founder, Mr. Peter Solis Nery, on November 20, 2025, at the Office of the Pagadian Campus Director.
Inspired by the Harry Potter series, the School of Law (SOL), under the leadership of Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor, celebrated the Hogwarts Night Acquaintance Party 2025 at the Pavilion Hall in Dao, Pagadian City on November 23, 2025. Organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers, the event brought together students in modern wizard-themed attire, creating a lively atmosphere for the annual gathering.
The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA), under the leadership of Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, conducted a one-day Strategic Planning Summit on November 19, 2025, at the IT Building Conference Room, JHCSC Pagadian Campus. The event brought together the heads of the involved academic and administrative offices and units to translate the university’s vision, mission, and goals into a coherent OVPAA Roadmap (2026–2030), anchored in the OVPAA’s thrusts and guided by its core values.
The School of Business and Management (SBM) of J.H. Cerilles State College, Pagadian City Extension Campus, led by SBM Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., successfully concluded its three-day SBM Day 2025 celebration held from November 13 to 15 at the campus hostel grounds. The event brought together students from all SBM programs as they participated in a series of skill-based, creative, and athletic competitions.
The Records and Archives Office (RAO), headed by Records Officer II Mrs. Mae Desiree L. Luste, conducted a series of document checking activities across the JHCSC campuses as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen proper records management. The activity was conducted on October 9 at the Lakewood Campus, October 22 at the Pagadian Campus, November 3–5 at the Main Campus, and on November 13, 2025, at the Dumingag Campus, in support of the institution’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) – Pagadian City Extension Campus has been awarded as one of the 2025 Active Adopt-An-Estero Program Partners by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) IX of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The recognition, particularly under the Water Quality Management category, was presented during the Environmental Awards Night on November 13, 2025, at the Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has officially granted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) to J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC)—Pagadian City Extension Campus for its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, offered by the School of Nursing (SoN). CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis signed the certificate on October 20, 2025.
J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales participated in the National Financial Inclusion Summit held at Novotel, Quezon City, on November 13, 2025. The event, organized by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in partnership with the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI), carried the theme “#LahatKasama: Strengthening Financial Inclusion through Education.”
The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) program participated in the 29th Mindanao-Wide Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Convention (ABECon, 2025) held from November 4 to 8, 2025, at the University of Southeastern Philippines – Tagum Campus, in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. The delegation was led by Engr. Johnren M. Siaboc, faculty member and coach of the BSABE program. The event carried the theme “Harmonizing ABE Pathways: Empowering Innovation Towards Sustainable and Smart Agri-Technology.”

Cerilles State College (JHCSC) conducted an Evaluation Meeting for the Mindanao Association for State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) 2025 Sports and Socio-Cultural Friendship Games on November 6, 2025, at the JHCSC Conference Room, 3rd Floor, I.T. Building, Pagadian Extension Campus. The meeting was presided over by JHCSC President, Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, and attended by Campus-wide Sports Director Dr. Buena D. Calunsag, heads of offices, faculty members, coaches, advisers, staff, and service personnel.
